April 1 Deadline for Applications; Winners to be Announced in August

MENLO PARK, CA -- Accountemps, the world's first and largest temporary staffing service for accounting, finance and bookkeeping professionals, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the premier professional association for CPAs, are currently accepting applications for the 2004 Accountemps/AICPA Student Scholarship. Two honorees will each receive $2,500 to be used for their tuition expenses.

Entrants must be AICPA student affiliate members majoring in accounting, finance or information systems and enrolled in a full-time graduate or undergraduate program. They need to have completed the equivalent of at least 30 semester hours, including a minimum of six semester hours in accounting, and maintained a 3.0 grade point average. The deadline for receipt of all application materials, which also must include transcripts from all undergraduate schools attended and two letters of recommendation, is April 1, 2004. A scholarship selection committee composed of Accountemps and AICPA representatives will determine the winners, based on the entrants' academic achievement, leadership and future career interests. Award recipients will be notified in August 2004.
